The Early Foundations Year 1 Workbook is recommended for three to four year olds and gently introduces children to letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and other appropriate concepts, such as more and less and time of day.  Students need no necessary background.  This workbook aims to help students recognize and trace uppercase letters with a finger and/or pencil and memorize the phonetic sound and associated words for each letter.  Math concepts include a focus on recognizing, counting, and writing numbers 1-10, identifying and tracing shapes, and naming colors.  Fine motor skills are developed further through copying their first names and coloring opportunities throughout.  Our Reading and Writing Through the Bible Early Foundations level aims to provide a cohesive language arts and discipleship program for your preschoolers and kindergarteners. This workbook works well with our language arts and math flashcards to encourage mastery of the identification and memorization of the key concepts.
