The Level 1 Language and Common Word Workbook Teacher’s Manual provides the key to answers for the Level 1 Language and Common Word Workbook Student Manual (sold separately). These provide opportunities for early readers to be introduced to many English language concepts and practice for common word spelling. Language concepts include learning about sentences, some parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs), various noun types including plurals and irregular plurals, dictionary and thesaurus practice, paragraph structure, journaling, and others.
 
This is one component of our Reading and Writing Through the Bible Level 1 curriculum (of 4 levels total). It is a two-year language arts and discipleship program that first and second graders can do together with both mastery and cyclical learning components and phonics and whole word recognition focuses. A Phonics and Dictation Workbook is offered as a student manual and teacher manual. The Supplementary Phonics Stories provide weekly practice with the reading and writing concepts covered thus far in the workbooks. The Level 1 Alphabet, Common Words, and Phonics Flashcards play integral parts in this level. The Level 1 Bible Guide provides discipleship and further reading and writing practice. Lastly, the Level 1 Master Teacher Instructions provide directions and tips on the implementation of all the workbooks and tools for this level.
